🔒 Confidential Mail

This message is encrypted

Someone sent you an end-to-end encrypted email with SecureStamp. The content travels protected: nobody in transit — not even SecureStamp — can read it. It is decrypted only on your device, with your key.

How to read it

  1. 1 · Install the SecureStamp add-in

In Gmail (Chrome extension) or Outlook / Microsoft 365 (add-in). The message decrypts automatically when you open it.

  2. 2 · Activate Confidential Mail

From the add-in, generate your key pair once. Your private key stays on your device; SecureStamp only stores your public key.

  3. 3 · Open the message

Come back to this email with the add-in active: you will see the decrypted content inside the SecureStamp panel.

1 · Unlock your key

Upload your recovery file (.json) and enter your passphrase. Everything runs on this device — the file and passphrase are never sent to SecureStamp.

2 · Paste the encrypted message

Paste the confidential email content (the whole body or the encrypted block) and decrypt it locally.

To verify the sender signature. Requires being signed in to SecureStamp.

🔒 Decryption happens 100% in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.

SecureStamp cannot read this message

Encryption is end-to-end (ECDH P-256 + AES-256-GCM). The decryption key never leaves your device or your organization. If you lose your key and your recovery file, the content cannot be recovered — that is the guarantee.

Note: encryption protects the message body and attachments, not transport metadata (the mail server still sees sender, recipients, subject and date).
